Kurumoch international airport is the largest aviation hub in the Privolshsky federal district and currently takes 10th place among the airports of Russian Federation in terms of the passenger traffic. New passenger terminal, equipped with the most advanced process equipment, with total area over 35 000 m² and capacity of 3,5 million passenger per year was constructed in frameworks of the first stage of construction .

Construction of a new terminal is associated with the necessity to increase the airport capacity, expansion of the flight network and provision of international level of service for passenger flights.
